Black and White
Black and White is the most traditional medium of photography. With the advent of Digital photography and the new, always updated technologies, this technique has maintained his fascination and an always growing number of photographers (both professionals and amateurs) love to create monochrome images with the same appeal, artistic touch and pathos our fathers and masters were able to create with their cameras and in the obscurity of dark-rooms! My late father was used to say that through black and white it is possible to see the true artistic level and technical skill of photographers because it is easier to give emotions through colours but more and more difficult to give the same emotions using only the shades, lights and tonal range from white, to greys to....black. I love Black and White, for his artistic and dramatic nature and because it reminds me the artistic skills and romantic inspiration of so many wonderful photographers of the past I try (said....TRY) to inspire and learn from.
